Dear readers,
Can you believe that someone could be so mean as to steal a quilt on display in an exhibition?
This particular quilt was made by Cindy Watkins and was a finalist in the 2009 AP&Q AQC quilt competition and travelled all around Australia as part of the exhibition of finalists.
Cindy had this quilt on display at the Break O Day Quilting and Embroidery Exhibition in St Helens in Tasmania, where it was stolen off the wall.
Unfortunately it wasn’t covered by insurance as it was stolen during the exhibition.
The quilt is called Dragonfly Maiden, is about 150cm x 120cm and is a one off original design, which is hand painted. It has her details on the back.
If anyone sees the quilt or knows of its whereabouts, please contact Cindy on phone 0437 057 417
Or, if you know someone who has it, do the right thing and return it to PO Box 154, Deloraine, Tas 7304 .

Fellow Quilt Bloggers, please post about this, in hope we can find this quilt.
